Helene Relief Shop Update
These pieces were made as a love letter to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the region surrounding it, and the natural beauty to which this national park provides access. The original intent was to donate the proceeds of any sales to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation; however, Hurricane Helene has created a far more urgent need in Appalachia.
My family, home and studio are all safe and spared any long term impacts from the storm. So many others, particularly in the craft community, are not so fortunate. The many potters in this area are the reason I was drawn here.
I will donate the net proceeds from any of these sales to CERF+, a nonprofit organization that provides emergency relief for craft artists. So many of the potters I admire, am inspired by, and consider friends are likely to need the support of this organization due to the catastrophic flooding in the area. The least I can do is offer these mementos of the Blue Ridge and include the proceeds as a part of a donation that will uplift my community.
